It wasn´t this one, but it was my first post into a world of new friends. I´ve "met" so many good people out there through the power of words and also met some readers in real life.
There have been some that quit writing and we lost touch and others that stop and come back. Then there are some that have been here from the beginning and I truly feel apart of their lives. There´s Rita and her daughter Jackie in Ciudad del Este, my fellow bloggers from Paraguay. Rita was there almost from the beginning. We have met in real life and it makes a huge difference. You really feel like you know the person better.
Then there are those faithful commenters from the US. I love you guys. Even though we´ve never met you have made a big impact in my life. Praying for me when I´m down, encouraging me and celebrating with me when I´m happy. There´s Mari and (the other) Betty who´s comments I can always count on. They have both also had their blog for quite a few years and if someone is looking for blogs to read you should pop in there.
Then their are Jeanie and Pam in Colorado. They have become true friends and we have a standing coffee date, once I manage to get up there. haha
I have to also mention Joyce who is the author of all those Hodgepodge questions. She is my writing inspiration. I love how she can use words to make a post almost like poetry.
And my newest very good friend Pam from Empty Nest. She is my inspiration to lose this unnecessary weight and I can only hope to have half her discipline.
I could go on and on. I know I´ve forgotten some very good people, but this is getting too long.
There are so many good people out there and I am always drawn to a blogger that is not super popular. I like to have a relationship with the person and not go under the "crowds" of comments. Because commenting is the only way you CAN have a relationship with the person. If the person connects with you, you will email back and forth and that happens behind the "scene". I´ve had bloggers give me such good advice and they have blessed my life tremendously. I want to thank all of you here. You guys mean so much to me and I hope we will stay in touch for a long time to come.
May the next five years be as good as the first.
