So I guess I didn´t get to posting weekly. First new years resolution .... FAIL. haha
So let´s change that one to once a month and if I find time for more....all the better.
How are you all doing? I have been busy this month. But good busy. Unfortunately the blog reading and commenting suffers when I´m busy. I guess that´s life. I hope you are all well and would love for you to comment, if something mayor happened in your lives, while I was away.
We went on a mini-vacation with friends. We went to a hotel in eastern Paraguay, where there was a swimming pool, lots of good food and a beautiful view. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed our time together. I posted some pics on fb, you can check them out here.
Unfortunately it was pretty dry over there too.
We have been having a real heat wave this year (2013) and it´s beginning to cause some mayor damages. The farmers crops are drying up and the ranchers pastures are screaming for rain. As we people are too. It is HOT HOT HOT. Every day the temps go up to 115 (in the shade) and my hubby has to work in those temps all day. But he still says he likes it better than the cold. So I guess we are living in the right place...lol!
If you think of me, I would appreciate a prayer for rain. We really do need a big one.

We decided to brighten our lives with a new dog: It´s a Dackel and we love him. His name is Oli and he and Nico are getting along really well. We thought Nico needed someone to play with. He was getting really lazy. :)
Of course wedding planing is keeping me busy too. Michelle made all her invitations herself and finally finished them this week. So they are in the mail now. Whew!
Yesterday I helped her move back home for her last month of "singleness". Our house is soooo FULL!! She has all her wedding shower gifts at our house and with all her stuff and furniture that she already owns....it is
Her friend from Canada is coming for the wedding and will also be living with us, so that means I´ll have a full table as well. But it´s ok, I love it. I will enjoy every minute of our last time together and will
So that was January for you. Now on to Feb and the challenges it holds!

I think a mini vacation was needed to get you ready for the month ahead!
The puppy is cute. :)
We've had a dry winter until the last week - now it just doesn't stop snowing. Praying for rain for you.
Glad you enjoyed yourself. We have plenty of rain this past month-9 inches of rain as a matter of fact and 6 inches of snow on top of that. Praying for rain for you and some cooler temps for your husband to work in.
The pup is adorable.
Oli and Nico are so adorable!
Enjoy your wedding preparations. I'm so happy for you, that your girls are so close to you.
Good for you! I love your cake background--so fitting! Our temperature is -14ºF this morning with a -32º wind chill. We should meet up somewhere in the middle! ;-)
Enjoy this next month. I'm sure it's stressful, and I do know what it means to love your girls, but not neccessarily the mess on the bathroom counter : )
I try to do the same thing when one comes back home for just a little bit. Just bite my tongue. Of course, when they bring a 55 pound shedding dog, it's a little more difficult. LOL The new addition is so cute! I'm so glad they're getting along! I'm praying for rain for you---not too much but for just enough. :)
I do like your new dog, Betty!! That is a bit of hard weather to work in! I'm sure your husband is "used" to it but still sounds hot!
Lots of fun in the month ahead! Enjoy!
betty
I agree, trying to blog when you're really busy is HARD! So glad you were able to take a refreshing break away from work/wedding planning/life :) Yes, enjoy this last month with your daughter -- even amidst the chaos!
Busy Busy!!! I love the pictures!! Cute little dog!!! Enjoy your time with your daughter... it will go quickly!!! Have a great day!
I am in desperate need of a vacation - mini or not! I don't envy the extreme heat though - hope you get rain soon!
Your little dachshund is adorable! My cousin has one, although hers is a little monster ;)
Enjoy the full house! *hugs*
Zippo exciting in my life ... you haven't missed a thing. One thing certain, I'm glad we don't get the kind of heat you folk get. Shudder. We are getting some unexpected snow today but it is very light and probably won't amount to too much.
It sounds like your life is very full at the moment (if I remember correctly this is a very busy time getting paper work for work read and out). Then wedding plans. Whew! But then, it is all relax and enjoy.
Good afternoon Betty. Rain Rain head Betty's way, please!! We really need some snow too otherwise spring will be really dry here too. Except once it starts to snow or rain it forgets how to stop here.
Keep touch when you can. Take care and so glad you got away to enjoy your friends and your new addition is adorable.
Blessing!
Wow! You've really been very matrimonially busy lately. This is such a very fun and special time for you. I'm so excited for you.
